INSPIRATION
«PERHAPS WE DON’T NEED TO SEE WHAT IS FAR AWAY, BECAUSE EVERYTHING WE WANT, WE HAVE NEARBY»
The curiosity to see distant and small objects, larger and closer, has led to the invention of optical instruments throughout history.
The “Binocolo” ring, as its name suggests, is inspired by what a binocular represents, although seen from another perspective. The binocular is what enlarges the image in each eye to see distant objects, allowing small and distant objects to be seen with greater clarity and size.
And “Binicolo”, being the representation of the binocular, does so without lenses and without a prism, saying that we observe through them what we see so closely. Maybe we discover and realize something, value it and that means we don’t need to see what is far away, because everything we want is close by.
